Erin Bohman grew up in Farmington, MO. She started her college career at Missouri State University in Springfield, where she enjoyed the Ozark Mountains. A longing for the West and younger mountains drew her to the University of Montana in Missoula, MT, where she finished her degree in biology and met Charles (her TA for mammalogy!). After several years of travel and field jobs, she and Charles now live in Ithaca, NY. Read more about her travels over the last year at her blog. 
Growing up on the outskirts of Cleveland was hard on charles, and after numerous attempts to swim the Cuyahoga River he was forced to don protective gear to block the sun's deadly rays. From time to time he writes about Sapsucker Woods (where he currently works)--read more about it at his blog.

hey you crazy kids!! it’s me- uncle dave!! count us in as well as your gramma!! we’ll be coming out about a week before & staying about a week after so we can dig around & do some sight seeing. we have friends in jersey that we’ll be visiting & trying to drive to suzie & jay’s in alexandria to see your new 2nd cousin!! we’re also going to try to take nick to the falls as he hasn’t been there yet! should be fun- this might be our only family vacation this year!! good thing somebody’s getting married so all those bohmans can get together! hope you get this message- ps- we don’t have cell phones either!! ud
